The Fleet Mechanic performs mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles according to MTO and OSHA regulations, with a specific focus on medium and heavy duty, diesel tractor and trailer maintenance and repair.

What you will be doing at Aqua Fast Flush as Fleet Mechanic:

• Responsible for performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and complete repairs on all types of vehicles
• Respond to service calls
• Maintain tools and area of work in an organized fashion
• Pick up and deliver vehicles if required
• Participate in and adhere to the required safety training.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Order parts as required

Supporting duties include the following:

• Inspect the company’s machines and tools as required and replace needed parts
• Yard management 
• Working with the Field Workers to manage the inventory in all the trucks 

Candidate Requirements and Qualifications:

• Have a 310T certification or equivalent
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience as a mechanic with light and heavy equipment 
• 3+ years of journeyman mechanic experience preferred
• Experience repairing and diagnosing gasoline, and diesel engines, automotive electrical systems and material handling equipment preferred
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude
• Knowledge of airbrake and electrical systems and components preferred

• Operate flush trucks, and vacuum trucks
• Assess and clear drains in commercial, industrial and residential settings
• Vacuum spills, grease traps, interceptors, etc.
• Use drainage tools including snakes/augurs, push cameras, shop vacuums, etc.
• Troubleshoot/problem solve both expected and unfamiliar problems
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Work with other employees and independently
• On-call work
